Brief Overview of our Instructional Levels for Traveling Summer Camp Program

Get ready for an entire summer filled with excitement, discovery, and adventure. Make sure your child is on course to succeed next school year. Our summer classes will address potential learning gaps, especially after a shortened school year. Our fun summer class experiences are enhanced with math and literacy learning to keep your child on track. This program is for children ages 5 and up. (average range 5-11 year olds).

Traveling TutorZ LLC uses a multi-grade approach for learning. Students are split into three levels of instruction. Level 1 Kindergarten through 4th grade (Reading level K-4; CCSS Lexile 420-740) , Level 2 is 5th grade – 7th grade (Reading Level 3-6; CCSS Lexile 620-925) , and Level 3 is 8th grade -12th grade (Reading level 5 and up; CCSS Lexile 875 and up). In each Level, the children learn the same topic and subject matter and are evaluated based on each child’s independent learning level. All vocabulary is introduced to all students; however, some students are accountable for the vocabulary as others are just exposed to the vocabulary. If the reading is on a higher level, the students that are capable of reading can read aloud as the approaching students utilize listening skills to follow along. Class discussions are the best as it integrates all levels of learning and allows for meaningful conversations amongst the group. We integrate a Christian Education alongside with a secular education to produce a well-rounded citizen for our community.

*Students with Special Needs that require a one-on-one teacher are a flat rate of $100 per day. We must charge this rate so we can bring in a para-professional to be assigned to the student.
